We are living in a unique period of austerity that is due to the onset of economic downfall.  Natural resources and cultural behaviors are being challenged to construct a new sense of stability.  These dramatic changes are occurring all-the-while sustaining the attention of a worldwide audience. Since the beginning of time, art has been directly reflective of the transitional periods in virtually every culture; this exhibition SPARE + AUSTERE intends to highlight what national and/or global austerity looks like in our present day.
