Following in the tradition of Jean-Claude and Christo, as well as Judith Scott, artist Tony Pedemonte creates wrapped sculpture. Often using string or yarn, he rhythmic creates an amazing cocoon around a found object.
Pedemonte also creates lyrical ink drawings that also reflect his interest in webs and and wrapping.
Pedemonte’s work has recently been included in Outsider Art at OAK, organized by Phil Linhares for the Oakland Museum of California at Oakland Airport, Where Have All The People Gone? organized by Amy Miller at Village Theatre Art Gallery in Danville California and Serenade: Lists, Poems and Missives at NIAD Art Center.
